Locum Planning & Highways Solicitor

An opportunity has arisen for a part time Planning/Highways Locum to join a busy Local Authority in East Anglia. The role is likely to run for a period of 3 to 4 months in duration to assist with additional workload and could be extended.

The ideal candidate will be either a Qualified Solicitor or Barrister, or a Legal Executive with at least 2 years planning experience.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Drafting and negotiating section 106, section 38, section 278 agreements
• Offering general planning advice
• Reviewing committee work
• Highways agreements

Experience dealing with minerals and waste planning work would be beneficial but not essential for this role. The hourly rate on offer is dependent on experience.
