Family Solicitor - Head of Department

This is a rare opportunity to join a very strong multi-sited practice and take charge of the firms' highly regarded Birmingham Family Team.

This well established firm is looking for an experienced Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to head up its Birmingham city centre office. The practice has around a dozen offices in London and the Birmingham office is the only office in the network to be based outside of the City.

The firm is now looking to appoint either a Family Solicitor of Legal Executive to head up the Family Team and lead a specialist family team. You will have a minimum of 5 years' PQE and will have experience of dealing with the full remit of family matters to include divorce and financial settlements through to childcare and ancillary matters. A key aspect of the role is having strong experience of dealing with domestic abuse and injunctions as, whilst the role will allow you to deal with the full spectrum of family matters, there is a heavy emphasis of dealing with instructions relating to domestic violence.

You will manage a team of fee earners and support staff, undertake networking and business development within the local areas and provide training and supervision to develop the existing team. You will have significant autonomy in ensuring the team's success, reporting to a partner based at one of the firms' London offices.

You will be ambitious, self motivated and have an exceptional level of client care and will be able to demonstrate a genuine desire to add value to the firm which will only serve to enhance your prospects of quickly joining the partnership.

On offer is a very competitive salary and benefits package so this is the perfect opportunity for a senior family solicitor or legal executive who is looking to take the next step in their career to not only have more supervisory responsibilities but to also grow the team and increase the firms' standing within the market.

Equally, you may already be a Head of Family and be seeking a new challenge or want to move to an environment which will allow you more free reign to take the firm in different direction than you are presently able to.
