Senior Paralegal with US Law Firm, Records Department, Permanent, London, Salary £40,000 +

Your new company
This leading US law firm operates across 14 countries worldwide and has over 60 international practice groups and industry teams. The firm has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced paralegal to join its records team as a Records Supervisor.

Your new role
You will supervise the day-to-day running of the Records Department. This includes but is not limited to electronic and physical file management, data access requests, and case room management. You will ensure that the firm's policies and procedures are followed, and understand how data is transferred and organised in a global environment. This will include an understanding of legal and ethical obligations. You will advise staff, legal professionals and attorneys about records management, data privacy and security issues, alongside other risk management and compliance issues. You will be the line manager to two members of staff and will provide training on a range of information governance topics.

What you'll need to succeed
You have strong leadership skills necessary to supervise members of staff. You are knowledgeable about the department's physical and digital resources. You also understand digital records management, organisation, storage, security and privacy. You are aware of litigation support applications. You are capable of undertaking large scale, long term projects, are able to implement solutions, and develop alternative methods to get results. You have strong analytical, organisation and time management skills, and are a good communicator.
