Your new company

A multinational professional services company with headquarters in Central London. This exciting and well respected business provides design, planning, project management and engineering services to a wide range of global clients, pioneering the way for some of the world's most ambitious and revolutionary architectural projects. Currently looking for an experienced Construction Lawyer (3-7 PQE) to join legal team on a 12 month FTC.

Your new role

As part of a busy and established legal function, this hybrid role will see you supporting the business on a range of matters including commercial contracts, transactional work and disputes. You will draft and negotiate contractual agreements relating to the company's UK and EMEA operations and manage legal risk as appropriate. Taking a lead of contract disputes, you will also have responsibility of disputes/claims work in addition pre-empting potential breach of contract issues.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience and a keen interest in the engineering/construction industry. An ideal background would include experience in contentious construction work as well as extensive expertise in the field of contract law. Previous in-house experience would be an advantage but is by no means essential. Required to slot into the team and pick things up quickly, you will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully engage with stakeholders and forge team relationships. You will also demonstrate flexibility in your approach and a willingness to pitch in and contribute from day one.

What you'll get in return

Working for a true market leader in the world of design and engineering, you will enjoy opportunities to get involved in a wide variety of high value deals and international work, splitting your time between contentious and non-contentious construction related matters. You will gain great exposure to the business with a dotted line to the Legal Director. In addition, the company offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive and unique benefits package.
