Banking & Finance Paralegal, Silver Circle Law Firm, London, Permanent, Salary up to £29,000

Your new company
This silver circle law firm has a specialist corporate focus. It advises companies, individuals and business leaders both in the UK and internationally across the full spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, alongside private affairs. A paralegal vacancy has arisen in the firm's Banking and Finance department, to replace the current paralegal who will become a trainee solicitor within the firm in September. For the right candidate, this role could provide an opportunity either to acquire long-term paralegal experience, or could act as a stepping stone towards securing a training contract.

Your new role
The Banking and Finance team focuses on complex, cross-border finance transactions and advises in a number of core areas including: fund finance, structured finance, derivatives, syndicated loans, and real estate finance. The bulk of the role focuses upon providing assistance in relation to a range of finance transactions. You will prepare and collate conditions precedent documentation, produce revised drafts of finance documents, review company searches, and sign and close arrangements for financing transactions. You will also register security interests and prepare for the post-completion of documentation bibles. You will provide additional support to the team, including running client on-boarding procedures, assisting with billing procedures, and producing pitch documents and marketing materials.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong academic qualifications from A Levels, with a minimum 2.1 in your degree. You will have secured at least a Commendation in your LPC, preferably having studied financing and commercial electives. You will hold a genuine interest in banking and finance related matters, with previous legal experience in these areas. You will be motivated, pro-active and organised, with effective interpersonal skills and strong drafting and research skills.

What you'll get in return
You will work at a well-respected institution under the direction of experts in their fields. The team's main competitors are leading City and US firms in London. They are recognised for their high quality workload, which you will support on a daily basis. You will earn a good salary with a competitive benefits package.
