Crime Duty Solicitor required, either full or part time in Kings Lynn.

We are a well-established, highly regarded regional practice offering a select range of legal services to commercial and individual clients in Norfolk.  We currently have three offices with a team of experienced lawyers, we endeavour to meet client needs, delivering advice in a clear and concise manner in order to achieve optimum outcomes for all.  We have recently had a Duty Solicitor retire and are now looking to add to our dynamic and growing team. 

The Role
We are now seeking an accredited Crime Duty Solicitor for our flourishing practice. Commencing as soon as possible, the successful Duty Solicitor will manage a full caseload from arrest to trial and beyond as necessary. This will include attending clients at police stations and magistrate’s courts throughout the Norfolk area, including out of hours.

This position is available with an immediate start with allocation of slots envisioned for the next rota. The Candidate
You must be a qualified Solicitor with at least 12 months’ PQE in Criminal defence. Additional Duty / CLAS accreditation is essential for the position.
You must have excellent technical and organisational skills, be computer literate and self-sufficient.
You will be available as soon as possible and assign your Duty slots at the next allocations. You will be able to attend clients in and out of normal office hours.  Out of hours work is based on a rota system.

You must be personable, excellent at working within a team environment but able to work under pressure using own initiative.
You will be flexible, commercial and client-focused.

Deadline for applications is the 31st of August 2017 but applications will be continuously monitored and interviews will be held on an on-going basis.
