Head of Legal - Commercial - Newcastle

Superb opportunity for an exceptionally talented, analytical, commercial lawyer to join a well known global business as Head of Legal.

Reporting into the VP of Commercial Legal Operations, you will lead and manage the commercial operations in-house legal team in order to ensure legal compliance and provide pragmatic solutions to legal issues. You will provide advice in relation to customer contracting and terms and conditions, commercial policy, customer disputes, data protection and also assist the sales, procurement, partnership and alliances and marketing operations teams.

To be considered for the role, you will be a UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 10 years PQE and a detailed understanding of contract law. You will also have an in-depth knowledge of other legal disciplines e.g. IPR, data protection, litigation and employment law. You will be an excellent leader, coach and communicator and have extensive experience of working with businesses to solve their commercial challenges in an effective and practical way. Florit Brooke advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the level of experience required for the role and this does not prohibit applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience. We aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible but if we have not contacted you within 5 days then unfortunately on this occasion your application has not quite met the requirements of our client closely enough.
