JOB TITLE: Motoring Criminal Defence Lawyer (Private client) 

PQE REQUIRED: 3+ years 

LOCATION: London, South East and South Wales 

SALARY: £36k to £100k + 


 A role has become available for criminal defence motoring law specialist with a niche in drink driving cases. You will attend Courts primarily in the south of England (occasionally South Wales) to represent the firms' clients. Your career with the firm will follow three stages. 

Grade 1: Advocate - £36k plus £6k travel allowance 
Grade 2: Reviewing lawyer - £40 plus £6k travel allowance 
Grade 3: Gold panel lawyer – £80 to £100k plus £6k travel allowance 

The fees payable on the gold panel are based on reviewing lawyer rates plus £1000 per trial for gold panel cases and projected 6 gold panel trials per month. Advancement to reviewing lawyer and gold panel is subject to candidate performance. 


You must be a Solicitor or Barrister with over 3 years PQE as a criminal advocate. We will provide full training to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge. You will work as a consultant under a service agreement. The role is home based. 


National Motoring Lawyers are a firm of solicitors dealing exclusively in drink driving related cases.
