A Higher Education Institution in West Yorkshire requires a Legal Officer to assist their small busy team with clearing a backlog of enquiries.

Day to day duties:

• Dealing with data protection and freedom of information requests
• Assisting junior staff on the law surrounding data protection
• Redacting information as required
• Assisting the Senior Legal Officer on other matters surrounding governance and contracts

The successful candidate should have experience dealing with data protection and freedom of information matters without assistance. Legal qualifications are not a necessity but are desirable. Candidates should be able to offer a minimum of three days per-week.
