In-house Solicitor

Our client, Poundland, is looking to recruit a Solicitor into their In-house team. This is a great opportunity for a 2-6 year PQE who has gained commercial experience to further their career and utilise their skills within a great working environment.

Poundland has built a network of almost 900 stores in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, offering top brands and great quality own brand products, that provide customers with amazing value every day. In September 2016, Poundland became part of the Steinhoff International family an integrated manufacturer and retailer with operations in Europe, Australasia, Africa and the United States.

The ideal candidate will have excellent commercial contract experience, alongside the ability to give sound legal advice on a wide range of issues relating to outsourcing, Data Protection, commercial disputes, advertising and IP. The role would suit someone who has gained experience in a general commercial environment but who is now looking to take their career to the next level. You will be part of a great team, and will work alongside other Solicitors as well as the Compliance and H&S teams.

Candidates will need to demonstrate that they are commercially astute, keen to be involved in the business, resilient, a self-starter and be enthusiastic in negotiating and advising on large scale contracts.

The role is based in the West Midlands and whilst it is offered on a 12 month FTC there is the potential for the role to go permanent. It offers an excellent salary and benefits - if you feel this is the right role for you do get in touch.
