Our client is a highly rated Legal 500 practice with particular profile in the South, and with an acute level of sector expertise in acting for clients in the fields of Education and Corporate/Commercial work. They are now looking to appoint a capable Nq-3 Corporate Commercial lawyer who will join their Leeds office which is a hub for growth in the north and continued focus on the niche markets in which they excel.

As part of their wider national education team, this opportunity will allow you to key into their existing client base in the education sector, and to forge your own relationships and build your own professional profile in this interesting and active client base which consists of institutional education clients, state funded schools and independent schools. The work will focus on a range of education law advice for academies and schools, including governance and leadership, the formation of multi-academy trusts and school re-organisation.

Prior experience of acting for clients in education or the public sector would be useful to allow you a good appreciation of the nuances and sensitivities of these clients but this firm is quite prepared to train someone who has a good base of corporate commercial experience and the right temperament. Above all else they want someone who is passionate about client service, and who is ambitious enough to want to develop this niche and who is genuinely interested in the education sector.

Nurtured, developed and trained by the Head of Education team, you will have plenty of client contact which is regarded as imperative in order to understand the client's needs. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is perhaps feeling their current client focus is not as stimulating as it could be, a quality corporate commercial lawyer looking to find a niche in an interesting and diverse sector for highly rated clients.
