Job Details
Contracts Lawyer required to join a local authority based in East Sussex for an initial 3 month term. The role offers a varied and challenging workload, a supportive working environment and an excellent work-life balance.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded team of commercial lawyers dealing with a wide range of innovative and challenging commercial, contractual and public procurement matters.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with previous experience of dealing with contract and procurement matters. This challenging role will require an individual with the capacity to manage a complex caseload.
The post holder will need to demonstrate an ability to produce high quality work with the ability to provide complex advice aligned to the needs of both the clients and the political objectives of the organisation.
Key areas of expertise will be in contract law, public procurement, state aid and general contract law advice. Experience of working on matters involving the LEPs (Local Enterprise Partnerships) or in supporting work in connection with Local Growth Fund applications would be of particular interest.
The office is well located, situated within walking distance from the nearest train station and with multiple car parks nearby.
