PM17/70 Solicitor x 2 (Permanent and fixed term for 12 months)

Salary £37,895 to £40,582

An opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic and highly motivated team players to join the child-care Solicitors here at Shropshire Council. One post is permanent and another is fixed term for one year but both posts will cover similar areas.

You will have significant post qualification experience, including 12 months previous experience in childcare law, particularly in undertaking advocacy.    

You must be able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team, an ability to think on your feet as well as having excellent communication skills.

Both posts will cover the general day to day child-care work, including advising at Legal Planning Meetings, the pre-proceedings process and all aspects of applying to Court for Care and other Children Act Orders. The fixed term post will also be responsible for a number of discharge applications.
