Junior Childcare Lawyer

Junior Childcare Lawyer required to join a local authority based in Buckinghamshire for an initial 3 month period.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Childcare Lawyer who is looking to develop their public childcare skills within a supportive and friendly team. This position does not require any advocacy, although this is something that could potentially be picked up further down the line.

Typical duties of this role involve;

• Managing own caseload of care proceedings
• Case load of private law proceedings including section 7 and 37
• Attending legal planning meetings

The ideal candidate will be a motivated Childcare Lawyer, and training will be provided for the successful applicant. Previous Local Authority experience is beneficial although not essential, making this a great opportunity for a Family Lawyer with a background in private practice to move into the public sector.

The offices are based within walking distance from the nearest train station, and are easily commutable from Central London. This local authority are renowned for offering a lovely working environment and friendly, supportive teams.

Due to the popularity of childcare roles at the moment, our client is also keen to hear from experienced Childcare Paralegals, provided they are able to hit the ground running and have experience of managing their own public care caseload without supervision.
