SENIOR ADVISORY LAWYER
Description
Joining our busy Legal Office in this senior advisory role, you will have responsibility for providing legal advice to the Archbishops’ Council, the Church Commissioners, the Pensions Board and the General Synod on a wide range of issues, as well as providing cover for the Deputy Legal Advisor/Deputy Official Solicitor.
To be considered for this high profile position, you will need to be a qualified solicitor or barrister with strong powers of legal analysis and proven experience of providing appropriate legal advice on complex issues with minimal supervision. We will also expect you to have the ability to acquire an understanding of legal principles in new areas of practice quickly and proactively, and to deal with highly complex, sensitive and contentious matters directly involving members and other key stakeholders, with equal degrees of tact and diplomacy.
