Job Details
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Company and Commercial Solicitor to join a respected Legal 500 firm in Cambridge. As a Company and Commercial Solicitor, you will be a part of a forward thinking and highly collaborative corporate team. You responsible for negotiating transaction documents whilst applying a high-level of interpersonal skills with clients, as well as demonstrating specialised knowledge and judgment. You will also assist the team in developing commercial law products, including e-products via the firm’s website.
Your main responsibilities will include;
Advising clients in varied aspects of corporate and partnership law, including;
- Business and share acquisitions and disposals;
- Management buy-outs;
- Share re-organisations, issues, buy-backs and transfers;
- Advice to company directors;
- Corporate governance
- Joint ventures and shareholder arrangements etc.
- Advice on partnerships and limited liability partnerships
- Drafting documentation using precedents and creating precedents where none exists.
- Attending and speaking at the firm’s marketing events and seminars.
- Assisting with development and delivery of training events and other marketing initiatives.
- Keeping up to date with developments in Corporate and Commercial Law.
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties from time to time allocated to the role.
- Attending and speaking at the firm’s marketing events and seminars.
- To ensure the profitability of the firm is maintained through regular billing and development of client relationships.
You will also advise clients on various commercial contract arrangements including:
- Supply of goods and services;
- Distribution, outsourcing, fundraising;
- E-commerce;
- Agency.
- Franchise agreements
- Intellectual property matters

- Be able to use your initiative to seek out suitable technical solutions.
Your educational qualifications will include;
- A law degree, completed LPC course and a 2-year training contract
- Completed GDL and LPC courses and a training contract.
You will also have;
At least 2 years PQE
