Property Counsel

£35,993 - £47,426 (dependent on experience)

RNLI Support Centre, Poole, Dorset

Ref: 9757

The Legal team are seeking a Property Counsel to be responsible, under the supervision of our Senior Property Counsel, for the acquisition, disposal and strategic decision making in relation to RNLI property.

Working with colleagues across the RNLI and across jurisdictions, you will carry out a wide range of commercial and residential property related work. In doing so, you will contribute to saving lives by enabling lifeboat station developments, resolving property disputes, maximising income, leading tactical and pragmatic decision making and much more.

It may be that you have had enough of chasing billing targets and want to do something that holds more meaning, or perhaps you are looking for an exciting and unique new challenge in which you get to use the full range of your skills.

Whether we’re talking about acquiring land to build a lifeboat station, selling a legacy property, putting lifeguard towers on beaches, housing our heritage collection or looking at ways of using our property portfolio to fund our lifesaving service - the RNLI property team have a key role.

To be successful, you will need to be a qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive with a proven specialist property background. You will have the ability to handle a caseload with minimum supervision, excellent teamwork skills, the ability to resolve disputes pragmatically and strong attention to detail.

As part of this role, you will be required to travel to different locations throughout the UK and Ireland from time to time.

To find out more and apply online, please go to the RNLI recruitment page.

Closing date: 10 September 2019.

We are an equal opportunities employer.
