Childcare Solicitor/Barrister - one full time role, and one part-time job share

£36,833 - £49,085 per annum (inclusive of 15% market plussage) Pro rata

The service is growing with additional posts for a full time child care solicitor/barrister. We are also additionally able to offer a part-time job-share role for a child care solicitor, at 22 hours a week.

About the roles

The roles involve provision of high quality legal advice and representation for the council’s children’s services including conducting care and related proceedings.

About you

We welcome talented lawyers with a keen interest in childcare law. Solicitors/barristers will be able advocates or motivated to develop their advocacy skills. You will have strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. We in turn offer a supportive environment and a legal progression scheme that reflects your development.

You may be newly qualified, already have experience of child care work within a local authority or private practice or be looking for a move to an area of work where your skills gained in another field will enhance our team.
