Both posts are offered as Fixed Term appointments for an initial period of 2 years.  Depending on the progress of the candidate and the programme, the post may be extended for a further period.

Your new role
Portsmouth City Council has committed to spending £20 million each year for the period 2020-21 to 2024-25 on repurchasing council housing.  As such, a unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced conveyancer to be an integral part of the success of this programme.


You will be able to provide quality advice and support to the Housing Service and other departments where appropriate.  You will also have your own case load consisting of housing repurchase matters, as directed by the client department.  You will be responsible for progressing the conveyancing from initial instructions through the post completion matters and addressing any title issues that arise.


What you’ll need to succeed
You will be a qualified solicitor, legal executive, licensed conveyancer or experienced paralegal.  You will also be able to evidence your experiences and successes in residential purchases and disposals, title enquiries and registrations and housing law.


You will be committed to delivering exceptional legal services of a high professional standard.
