My legal life: Matthew Claughton
Having graduated in 1985 and unsure what direction he wanted to go, Matthew worked for the Citizens Advice Bureau. Discovering his strengths there he decided to enter the legal profession. In 1988 he started his training at Olliers.
He tells us of his career as a criminal defence lawyer and how the offences have changed since the 1980's with an increase in Fraud, sexual offences and terrorism cases.
