This team, part of the wider Legal & Governance division, is dedicated to providing top-notch legal support across a broad range of funds-based transactions.
Your new role
Job Title: Legal Counsel / Funds Lawyer
Term: Permanent, full-time
Location: London, hybrid (2 office days per week)
Salary: Up to £90,000 plus benefits
As a Legal Counsel / Funds Lawyer, you will report to the Associate Director and work closely with a team of six legal professionals. You will be instrumental in providing legal support for various product areas, including private closed-ended debt funds, venture capital funds, funds-of-funds, listed funds, and non-regulated investment vehicles. Your expertise will also be crucial in advising on financial regulation and providing general commercial advice in an in-house financial services context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support for a range of funds transactions.
- Advise on financial regulation and general commercial matters.
- Contribute to know-how and training within the team.
- Manage relationships with external counsel.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various functions.
What you'll need to succeed
- A current practising certificate in England & Wales.
- 3+ years PQE.
- Strong academic and training contract background.
- Knowledge of funds is ideal, but other transactional expertise, such as corporate and banking, will be considered.
- A desire to move in-house and an interest in the development sector.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
