You will be running a caseload of public law matters with particular focus on Court of Protection matters. This role calls for a particular mix of skills and experience.  You should have in-depth experience in matters relating to the provision of care for vulnerable clients and be confident in undertaking legal-aid-funded work. You must have good IT skills and be familiar with using case management systems and have very good time management, with the ability to deal with a high-volume caseload.  When applying for this Court of Protection solicitor vacancy, please quote reference SS25490.


You will:-

Be a solicitor with at least 2 years’ PQE experience in a well-regarded firm dealing with public law matters - the firm will also consider a suitably qualified and experienced legal executive or fee-earning paralegal;
Have detailed knowledge of Legal Aid funding and Court of Protection matters;
Enjoy networking and be prepared to engage in business development and marketing matters as required;
Have excellent communication skills, able to engage with clients from a variety of different cultures and from different walks of life and be able to explain complex matters in empathetic, clear and accessible language.
