Self Employed Consultant Solicitors
David Long Solicitors are inviting applications from experienced housing solicitors looking to work as self-employed consultants.
About the firm
David Long Solicitors is a specialist housing law firm with offices in the London Borough of Brent and The London Borough of Hillingdon. The firm is well known in the local area for successfully representing tenants in housing possession and disrepair cases, as well as acting for clients in challenging homelessness decisions of local authorities. In addition to holding two legal aid contracts to provide advice and assistance in relation to housing matters, the firm also holds a legal aid duty desk contract to provide advice and representation in possession cases at Willesden County Court.
About the role:
The role is for an experienced solicitor who is prepared to work on a self-employed consultancy basis.
Remuneration shall be by way of a fee sharing agreement. The firm is offering to pay up to 60% of fees received (including, where applicable, inter partes costs orders at private rates) for work done by the consultant. This figure reflects the fact that the successful candidate(s) will not be expected to bring a following to the firm when they join.
