Locum Employment Solicitor
A Top 50 private practice requires an Employment Solicitor to join them ASAP for a 6 month contract. The role has arisen to cover a period of maternity leave.
The role will be based in the firms Birmingham office.
The employment team advises on the following matters:
- HR strategy and implementing legislative changes
- TUPE transfers
- Redundancies and restructurings
- Litigation in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and High Court
- Advising on trade union and industrial relations
- Disciplinary and grievance issues
- Settlement agreements and negotiating departures
- Advising on cross-border employment law matters
Successful candidates are likely to have a strong private practice background in advising respondent clients on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters. Candidates will be expected to work autonomously without supervision.
Due to the nature of the role, successful candidates are likely to have previous experience in handling employment caseloads and will possess previous locum/contracting experience.
