Commercial Insurance Solicitor/Legal Executive

A leading national and international full service law firm wishes to appoint a Commercial Insurance Property Litigation Solicitor or Legal Executive to its specialist national Insurance Division and be based at the firms' Birmingham city centre office.

This award winning firm is very highly thought of and is renowned as a market leader in the insurance sector. It has offices throughout the UK as well as a host other jurisdictions and provides specialist advice covering the full remit of legal sectors.

The role is based within the Insurance Division which acts on behalf of insurers, self-insureds and corporate clients in relation to pursuing claims again negligent parties. You will handle a caseload of both Fast Track and Multi-Track recovery matters comprising subsidence claims, escape of water, fire damage and incidents occasioned by dilapidated properties. You will also deal with a broad remit of general insurance claims which will include recovering monies paid out due to fraudulent activity.

The firm is keen to hear from solicitors or legal executives with a minimum of 12 months' experience of dealing with litigated property recovery matters.

You will be required to conduct litigation, deal with liability and quantum, provide strategic advice and report to clients. You will be well versed in dealing with expert evidence, conducting legal research and will relish the opportunity to deal with technically challenging and complex subject matter. You will be an ambitious team player who is self-motivated and has an eye for detail and will need to have experience of working to SLA's and it is crucial that you are commercially astute.

As well as carrying a caseload you will also be required participate in the business development and marketing of the department which will include forging relationships with both new and existing clients whilst also having input into training seminars, publications and client presentations.
