Senior Litigation Solicitor - Northampton - Partnership opportunities

This role would suit someone who would be interested in progression up to partnership level in a relatively short space of time due to the planned retirement of one of the current directors. Excellent chance to be a key figure in the future of the department and the firm as a whole.

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 10 years PQE in dealing with a broad range of litigation matters, preferably within small to medium sized practices. They will not only be technically strong in dealing with litigation matters but must be confident in managing a small team and so will ideally have some form of managerial experience as you will be overseeing a small team of 3 fee earners.

The firm has been around for many years and enjoys a superb reputation in the local area. The firm as whole is made up of 10 lawyers (plus support staff) so although not the largest firm in the area in terms of head count they do enjoy a strong presence in the local market and have a regular flow of work coming in from returning clients and from recommendations, word of mouth and as a result of their general reputation.

The firm very much adopts a quality over quantity approach. It prefers to focus on their clients satisfaction and results that their clients are happy with rather than trying to bill as much as possible on each matter and setting high targets. They adopt a very "grown up" type attitude across the practice and allow their lawyers plenty of autonomy which they feel creates a happier and more productive firm and allows them to continue to provide a very client centered service.

Must be abmbitious and dynamic and be keen to get involved in the development of the practice.

Salary will be based on experience.

If the above role sounds of interest please get in touch with Greg at QED legal.

Company

QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".

As a recruiter you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. A good recruiter needs to be Quick, Excellent and Dynamic in everything that they do. Allow the team at QED to demonstrate what they can do for your firm or your career.
