Job Details

SOLICITOR - WILLS AND PROBATE

Job Purpose
(1)To deal with client matters in relation to Wills, Contentious and non-contentious Probate, IPAs and elderly client issues and Trusts
(2) To maximise growth in the relevant department and enhance the Firms reputation.
(3) To maintain central records

Duties and Responsibilities:
1.To attend clients and take instructions in relation to one or more of the above areas of law any related areas
2.To undertake all administrative tasks relating to (1) above, including letter writing, telephone calls, drafting legal documents, pleadings (Oaths/Affidavits) preparing Briefs to Counsel etc
3.To attend Court/tribunal hearings (where relevant)

SOLICITORS MUST ALSO
Work within a framework of equal opportunities.
Follow all the provisions and procedures set out in the Firms Office Manual and other documents referred to therein.
Keep up to date in the areas of law in which the fee earner is involved.
Contribute to the development of the Firm and actively participate in staff meetings, training provisions and attend further education and training (where relevant).
Always promote the Firm when dealing with clients, third parties, service providers and members of the general public.
