Pensions NQ-2 Leeds/Newcastle

Fantastic opportunity for a Pensions Solicitor to join this thriving and highly rated pensions department of a top 50 national firm, to be based in Leeds or Newcastle.

This department handles predominantly stand-alone pensions work as oppose to corporate support matters and so they enjoy having their own substantial client base which is nationwide. The team acts for a plethora of employers, trustees, and pension providers, ranging from both FTSE 250 Companies, to public sector clients, to smaller corporations with a few dozen employees. They deal with breadth of work including some very technical pensions matters such as scheme mergers and asset backed funds. This role is purely to focus on non-contentious, drafting and transactional pensions work which exudes quality and commerciality to clients first and foremost.

Their ideal applicant will be a NQ-2PQE Solicitor and will have had some exposure to pensions as part of their training. However, there is certainly the opportunity for a motivated candidate to retrain into Pensions Law, and suitable candidates to be considered would be coming from quality brands (likely a national firm brand or City firm) and will have strong non-contentious drafting skills.

You will be nurtured in the team by more experienced lawyers, and so will benefit from close support and guidance and insight into the needs of clients as a member of dedicated client teams.

A great opportunity for a motivated individual to work as part of a large and collegiate team, supported by the top class resources you would expect at a leading national firm.
Florit Brooke advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the level of experience required for the role and this does not prohibit applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience. We aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible but if we have not contacted you within 5 days then unfortunately on this occasion your application has not quite met the requirements of our client closely enough.
