In-house Counsel

Our client, a business that specialises in the design and production of specialist vehicles and security systems, is looking for an experienced Solicitor to join the team as their sole In-house Counsel. The role would be perfect for someone with broad commercial and corporate experience, ideally with experience working In-house, who is looking for more flexible, part time working. Salary is dependent on individual experience.

The business was founded over 60 years ago and throughout its lifecycle has developed a strong client list across the world. It now works with other manufacturers and businesses in addition to government organisations and private individuals.

Reporting into the Directors and working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, the successful Solicitor will provide strategic advice across all Legal and Compliance activities. You will be responsible for; leading the development of risk management strategies, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, advising on contractual issues, managing the IP portfolio, and advising on T&Cs throughout the business. Due to the broad nature of the role, you may also be required to support the business on litigation and employment matters.

Applications are invited from commercially astute Solicitors with broad commercial experience, and ideally some experience working In-house. It is preferred that candidates have c. 5 years + experience and those fluent in German or French are particularly encouraged to apply (although this is not essential).

This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially astute Solicitor to work as part of a well-known and respected business in their UK head office.
