My client is a top law firm based in Chester City Centre with several offices across the country. They are seeking an experienced and highly professional HR Manager with experience of working in a commercial environment to head up the firms HR team.

The firm provide a range of legal services to individuals and businesses and have an enviable reputation within the area. You will be based at the well-established Chester offices.

The firm has significantly grown in recent years and continues to do so. This is therefore an exciting time to join and a perfect opportunity for the right candidate.

About the role?

You will be responsible for heading up a range of HR matters and will develop and manage HR initiatives, policies and procedures within the firm. As a Senior Manager within the team you will be responsible for key decision making. You will be able to hold seminars and provide general HR advice to staff at all levels. You will be supported by a HR assistant.

Skills and Experience

  • Ideally educated to Degree level, CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge of Employment Law
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work with professionalism and with confidentiality
  • Experience of dealing with grievance and disciplinary procedures
  • Experience of payroll is desirable
  • The ability to take the lead on operational and strategic initiatives
  • Experience of working within a commercial environment and leading team of people

Salary is up to 40,000 together with benefits. This is a full time permanent position.
