Your new role
The firm's Knowledge Management team are seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join their close knit team, reporting to the Head of Knowledge Management. You will be responsible for collecting and organising civil litigation procedure documents from the firm's fee earners, editing precedents to ensure they are compliant with the Civil Procedure Rules and current law, and conducting training sessions for the firm's fee earners on how to use the know how IT software system and knowledge management protocol. You will project manage this precedent library with the aim of implementing the system into all other UK offices. You will spend 1-2 days working out of the office, either on site training up the firm's other UK offices or working from home. This is an exciting opportunity for someone desiring flexibility.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need strong academics (2.1 or higher degree) or equivalent. The firm are seeking a qualified Knowledge Management or Professional Skills Lawyer with strong experience managing technology know-how projects in a law firm, excellent organisational skills, communication and presentation skills. Previous experience of delivering training sessions to fee earners is preferable but excellent IT skills are essential. You will need to be conversant with legal IT software and knowledge management systems such as SharePoint.

You will need to be proactive and take initiative, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, be able to manage your own time, demonstrate excellent organisation skills and strong technical and research skills. A flexible attitude towards working practices and an ability to adapt style as required for supervision purposes are a prerequisite. You should be confident in your own abilities and in your approach, a solid team player, approachable and responsive to both colleagues and clients, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
