An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy legal team at Mid Sussex District Council in Haywards Heath and help shape the way the service develops in the future.
We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic and highly motivated senior lawyer with relevant experience (ideally in a local authority context) to join our Legal Services Team with the ability to handle a wide and varied caseload and maintain the provision of a high quality service.
We are looking for a versatile lawyer to lead and provide accurate legal advice on a range of contentious matters. You must have experience of working at a senior level on litigation matters and have the ability and experience to support the licensing, housing, procurement and contracting activities of the Council.
You will have an excellent track record of providing proactive, expert, timely and authoritative legal advice and support. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with initiative, a proactive approach to problem solving and a real commitment to the post and the Legal Services Team.
You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent with a current practising certificate.
