Head of Conveyancing
Our client, a successful multi office Cheshire based Law Firm within easy commute of Chester is looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor/Licensed Conveyancer or FILEX for a quasi-head of department role.
The firm has a strong residential property department spread across its other offices but the Chester Office currently consists of 1 Partner and several experienced Conveyancing Paralegals. The Partner in Chester is looking to retire at the end of 2018 and the firm would like their replacement to be in place by the end of 2017 at the latest.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be an experienced, qualified Conveyancer although applications from non-qualified fee earners with vast experience will also be considered.
The person who comes on board will begin to inherit the retiring Partners clients and referral sources ensuring a smooth succession over the next 12 months. The existing Partner has a number of very lucrative referral sources from the South East who provide the firm with a steady stream of mid to high net worth property sales/purchases together with investor clients looking to develop residential properties for sale or buy to let.
In addition, it is also hoped that the successful candidate can help further develop work in the Chester region and build upon existing local estate agent work.
In the intervening 18 months, the successful candidate will alongside the Head of Department as well as other junior members of the team and will be expected to deal with a varied caseload of buying and selling domestic property, mortgages and re-mortgages, transfers of equity and shared equity matters. Administrative support is available in the form of a Conveyancing Assistant

To be considered you must have previous experience using case management software, digital dictation along with the ability to support other team members as and when necessary.
