Job Details

We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join the firm on a fixed term contract basis for 6 months. This is an exciting opportunity to join our exceptional Service Delivery Centre (SDC) and work alongside our market leading lawyers, to deliver the outstanding client service we are so proud of.

We view the SDC as a "hub" comprised of Paralegals and Legal Apprentices. It is an essential resource to the firm during particularly busy periods, often providing support to our very high profile cases.

Your task list will be varied and you will be required to manage your own time effectively. It wouldn't be unusual for you to spend one day providing transactional support (due diligence or document review for example) and the next day working on litigation tasks such as disclosure and bundles. You can also expect to be involved in firm wide projects, both internal and client facing.

We are proud of the development opportunities we offer our people and as a Paralegal at Burges Salmon; you can expect exceptional support and supervision. As well as "on the job" feedback you will be offered formal training opportunities, both legally focussed and wider commercial and professional skills.

We recognise the invaluable contribution that the SDC makes to the firm and the service we deliver to our clients. With this in mind we do not view the role of a Paralegal as a stepping stone to a training contract, rather an invaluable legal professional who contributes directly to the work that we do.

Our six core values – Ambition, Collaboration, Commitment, Fairness, Quality and Respect - are at the heart of everything we do and help to shape our unique culture. As well as high quality work and exciting development opportunities, we offer our people a professional, friendly and sociable working environment with a real sense of community.
