Property Legal Officer

A large local authority in Bedfordshire is seeking to add a Property Legal Officer/Fee Earner to their team for a 3 month locum assignment.

The ideal candidate will have experience gained from either Local Government or Private Practice handling a small personal caseload of conveyancing matters; ideally these will predominately be commercial property cases and will have been managed from inception to conclusion under supervision of a solicitor

Duties for this role include:

• Undertaking and completing complex residential and commercial conveyancing
• Obtaining complete and accurate instructions form the relevant officers
• Drafting leases transfers and other legal documents
• Conducting negotiation with third parties and their legal advisors
• Ensuring transactions are undertaken and completed in an efficient and timely manner

An Hourly rate of £18 - £25 per hour is offered for this position
