Your new company

One of the UK's largest and best-known insurance providers, headquartered in London. This long-established and extremely well-respected company has a current revenue of over £3 billion and employs over 10,000 people. They provide an huge array of insurance products to a wide range of clients. They are now seeking an UK-qualified solicitor to join their claims handling team in the areas of employers' liability, public liability and personal injury.

Your new role

As part of a very busy claims handling team, this multi-disciplined role will see you analysing and, where necessary, advising on a variety of claims with a view to assessing the prospects of a claim succeeding on its merits. You will ensure that clients are provided with correct and succinct legal advice, managing their expectations by making clear the decisions and steps made in the claims handling process. You will also lead negotiations with clients on the best possible terms for them and be responsible for drafting documents in preparation for court hearings.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a UK-qualified insurance claims solicitor with 2-5 years' PQE or equivalent. Preferably, you will have evidence of experience in employment and public liability claims, which will have been gained either through an insurance or law firm environment. You will have experience of using a case management system which will stand you in good stead for hitting the ground running in this role. Required to slot into the team and pick things up quickly, you will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully engage with clients and forge team relationships.
