Pro Bono and Law Clinic Manager

This not-for-profit institution is looking to recruit a qualified solicitor to focus on managing and developing a Law Clinic and Pro Bono services. 

The nature of the instructions are most likely to focus on civil litigation and welfare law issues. Applications are welcomed from Civil litigators, Personal Injury, Housing, Consumer, Debt and Welfare Law specialists and applications from employment and criminal defence lawyers will also be considered. Of course, we would be delighted to hear from current Law Clinic and Pro Bono Services managers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic solicitor who has excellent people, communication and project management skills. You will be committed to developing a law clinic to benefit the local community whilst mentoring and supervising the volunteers.

Specific duties to include:

• Managing Clinic operations and advice sessions
• Recruiting advisors, organising and arranging training
• Promoting the clinic’s services and forging local links (including local solicitor’s firms)
• Reviewing client intake and screening for suitable cases
• Supervising volunteers and ensuring quality of service
• Managing compliance requirements, SRA and professional indemnity 

To undertake this role, it is essential to be in possession of current practising certificate without limitations or conditions.

In project managing and developing the Law Clinic, you will be provided with continued support from a talented and friendly management team.
