Solicitor - Clinical Negligence - NQ+

Clinical Negligence Solicitors are required for one of the leading UK legal networks with coverage across Europe, Latin America, North America and Asia-Pacific providing a full service claims, transactional, commercial, risk and advisory capability. .

Acting for the NHSLA, Medical Defence Union, NHS trusts, as well as private hospitals in the health market, our highly rated national clinical risk team has a proven track record in defending high value complex claims including cerebral palsy, oncology, paediatrics and plastic surgery.

The role provides a challenging caseload of defendant clinical negligence work on behalf of a wide range of clientele.
You will act as first and primary contact for clients on a day to day basis providing them with commercially focused legal advice, those at a more senior level will provide supervision and coaching to junior fee earners. In addition you will contribute to non-fee-earning activity e.g. knowledge sharing, training, client seminars, and business development and be expected to write articles for publication both for in-house and external publications.

The firm are looking for experience at all levels which should include defendant or claimant clinical negligence, or defendant insurance law. Experience gained within an NHSLA or MDU panel firm would be highly advantageous and strong technical skills and an ability to understand and work through complex issues.
A commercial and client focus perspective is required with an ability to operate with a high level of self-sufficiency yet know when to seek advice from senior members of the team.
