COMMERCIAL SOLICITOR, NEWCASTLE

Our national and highly regarded client is looking for a Commercial Contracts lawyer to join their Newcastle office which acts for an impressive client base including plcs.

They are looking for candidates with 1+ years PQE to undertake a full range of IT, IP contracts including purchase and supply agreements, agency and distribution agreements, collaboration agreements, terms and conditions of trading and general commercial contracts. This collegiate and focussed team operates both nationally and internationally within a range of sectors from manufacturing, to chemicals , to transport, and works with offshore business and supply chain clients.

The role will involve working closely alongside a Partner within this close knit team and there will be early exposure to Industry clients. Therefore suitable applicants should have 1+ years PQE within a Commercial/IT setting, ideally gained with a Top 100 firm be that in the City or the regions, or possibly gained in-house. Previous experience of Commercial Contracts work is a requirement. Exposure to data protection would be an advantage but is not essential.

NQ candidates with 6 months experience in a Commercial seat and additional significant pre-qualification experience prior to their training contract might also be considered on the strength of their cumulative experience.

A substantial role for a Commercial Solicitor looking to live in this attractive area of the North. Candidates with a connection to the North East and who are prepared to relocate will most definitely be considered and are encouraged to apply to this firm which has traditionally done well in attracting candidates out of London.
