Job Details
Responibilities:
Own and keep underreview all the firm's data protection compliance arrangements
Inform and advise the global firm on the Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its requirements, liaising with local support as required. Serving as a SME and developing and implementing a compliance plan.
Provide wider advice in relation to the Data Protection Act 1998
Handle enquiries and issues relating to data privacy practices, withdrawal of consent, the right to be forgotten, and related rights.
Essential Criteria:
Previous experience in dispute resolution or regulatory law would be advantageous
A qualified lawyer with excellent academics credentials (minimum 2:1)
in depth knowledge of data privacy, data handling and data classification
Experience of managing data privacy issues in a global organisation
Expertise in global and European data protection laws and practices and an in-depth understanding of the GDPR
