Corporate Solicitor

A fantastic new role has arisen with our highly regarded client based in Derby. The firm is looking to recruit a Corporate Solicitor to join their expanding team. The firm isn't a typical Private Practice firm. It is a very unique set up and they are really growing in the market and have done over the last couple of years.

Unlike most firms, our client doesn't target their lawyers on time recorded as they feel this promotes a slower service. Instead, they measure access to their professionals and speed of service to remain focused on delivering an effective solutions at the price agreed in advance.

The firm is the first professional services business in the UK legal sector and has attracted private equity investment. The sustainable business model means the firm is able to invest in cutting edge technology and high quality recruits, enabling them to compare to major city firms.

The firm prides itself on the modern and commercial approach they provide to their clients which helps develop effective, long term relationships with their clients.

This is an expansion role due to the fact that the team has loads of work coming in and they are in need of a new recruit.

The Role:

The work includes a wide range of work - mainly mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, shareholders agreements, corporate governance, partnership matters, MBOs, asset sale transactions, company re-organisations, to name a few. A lot of the work is sector-specific such as retail, healthcare, education, financial services etc.

The team works alongside the commercial team which consists of 6 people. Plenty of support is offered where needed.

The team works with a wide range of clients nationally from niche OMBs through to SMEs and PLCs.

The Candidate:

The firm is ideally looking to recruit a Solicitor with between 3 and 7 years post qualification experience. However, this is a rough guideline and the firm is also happy to consider candidates whose PQE falls closely outside of this range.
