LOCATION: Manchester
SALARY: £50,000 - £70,000
EMPLOYMENT: Permanent
HOURS: Full time

A top 100 law firm is looking to recruit a Travel Associate in thier city centre office. Our client is a leading consumer law firm in Australia and the United Kingdom. They employ 1,210 people in 54 locations across Australia and 3,130 people across 25 locations in the UK.

The Travel Associate will Independently oversee efficient file management of complex cases including adherence to timescales; compliance with precedents, letters or documents on the case management system; and effective support, guidance, proof reading and delegation to colleagues.

Duties and Responsibilities

Providing the highest level of client care in the management of client matters
Overseeing all the financial aspects of matters including time recording, billing and debtor management in order to achieve your personal fee budget
Building relationships with internal and external parties
Actively makes cross-referrals to other areas of the company
Undertakes complex negotiations within reasonable time frames using expertise and legal knowledge to predict outcome with confidence
Provide mentoring and supervision to team including coaching, training, development and completion of PDRs and file reviews within agreed timescales ensuring both positive and development feedback is provided
Pro-actively participate, and support others, in marketing opportunities including networking and contribution to blogs, media commentary etc, within Slater and Gordon guidelines
Actively role modelling our values of 'Do it Right', 'Take the Lead' and 'Work Well with Others'

What experience is needed : -

As well as possessing experience in a similar role, applicants should be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Personal Injury and Travel market
Strong commercial awareness and a good level of understanding of the relative law is required
Ideally you will also be LPC qualified and have strong IT skills including experience of using case management systems
