Salary: Grade 9 £37,306 to £40,057 (bar at £41,025) per annum

Location: Peter House, Oxford Street, Manchester M1 5AN

Grade: 9

Hours: 35

Contract: Permanent

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated lawyer with an extensive knowledge of the law relating to children and families?  Are you keen to develop your legal skills in this area?  Are you a motivated lawyer with the ability to manage a complex case-load with limited supervision?

Manchester City Council's successful Children's & Families (Legal) Group will support you in the dynamic role of Senior Lawyer.  You will hold a stimulating, exciting and varied case load.  We have wide and varied work streams.  You will conduct your own advocacy in public and private law matters including contested hearings.  You will provide high-quality advice to our clients in a range of forums.

You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive with Advocacy Certificate.
