1x Solicitor Children and Adults Legal Team (Permanent)
Starting salary is £36,379 rising to £38,237 on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Solicitor/Barrister to join our busy team at Nottingham City Council.

You will be required to provide legal advice and assistance to the Council in respect of Social Care matters.

The work is extremely varied.  Currently, the majority of work is care proceedings due to an increase in the volume of work in this area. 

You will also have the opportunity to give legal advice in respect of the following areas: adoption, child protection, community care, vulnerable adults, and mental health. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and drafting skills and be able to manage a full and varied caseload with minimum supervision and undertake advocacy in the Family Court.
