Employment Solicitor - Regional Law Firm

A well-known and highly regarded East Midlands law firm have an excellent opportunity for a employment solicitor to join the firms highly regarded employment law team in the firms Derby office. The firm itself are an innovative and growing East Midlands practice and have expanded several of its departments over the past 12-18 months. If you are looking for an opportunity to join a progressive firm that will invest in your career and also provide you with a quality caseload then this is an ideal opportunity for you.

The role

Joining the firms large employment team you will work alongside highly experienced partners and will handle your own caseload of predominantly respondent matters but it will incorporate some high level claimant matters too.

You will work on both contentious and non-contentious matters.

This will include, but not limited to, employment contracts, TUPE, redundancy, unfair dismissal, workplace procedures and restrictive covenants.

You will also be responsible for delivering employment seminars and providing case law updates.

You will be fully supported in developing business meaning there is a big opportunity to boost your own profile within employment law in the East Midlands.

The candidate

The firm are ideally looking for a solicitor at the 3 7 year PQE mark but qualified solicitors with experience outside of this range will also be considered.

You should have substantial employment law experience and have demonstrable experience in advising employers.

Having supervisory experience is an advantage but not a necessity.

You should have excellent interpersonal skills and a be confident in developing business.
