Interim In-House Lawyer/GDPR Project Manager job with financial services company in Bristol

Your new company
This Global financial services provider is looking for an interim In-House Lawyer or GDPR Project Manager to join their Legal team based in Bristol on a contract to provide effective support to their UK business.

Your new role
You will be assisting the Head of Legal, as well as assisting the wider business with a varied range of projects and tasks that require both legal support and review. The main focus of this role will be GDPR and data protection, assisting with the implementation of the GDPR project, however you may also get involved in drafting and negotiating contracts across a full spectrum of suppliers and partners.

It is anticipated that this contract will run until June 2018. You will enjoy the opportunity to work flexibly, with 2-5 days a week considered.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified lawyer with data protection/GDPR and project management experience, who will lead and deliver GDPR compliance.
You will have previous experience in a similar position and will ideally have experience within the Financial Services industry, with experience of drafting terms of business, internal policies and negotiating third party contracts.

This would be a great role for individuals who are self-starters looking for a high level of autonomy with great exposure to senior management. You will have up to date knowledge on current and future legal requirements and be able to influence and engage key stakeholders. Strong communication, organisation and project skills are essential to succeed in this role. Experience of training all levels of a business on technical regulations will be useful.

What you'll get in return
This is a great interim opportunity to be involved in all aspects of a Financial Services organisation in the centre of Bristol, with flexible working on offer. A unique role not to be missed.

If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new role, please contact Harriet Chapman in complete confidence at Hays. We would expect a lawyer with the given PQE to have gained the level of experience required, but this does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE.
