Construction Solicitor - Contentious Matters

A very highly regarded full service national law firm is continuing the expansion drive of its Birmingham city centre office and is now keen to appoint an ambitious, talented Construction Solicitor to deal with high quality contentious construction matters.

This Legal 500 listed practice has a very strong offering and operates in both the commercial and private sectors. The firm boasts an envied client list and is also the proud recipient of a host of awards demonstrating exactly why major bodies recognise the practice as one of the best law firms to work for.

The firms' Construction Team acts for a heavyweight list of clients and has a team of 12 lawyers nationally who deal solely on construction and engineering projects. The client base comprises many of the best-known names in the industry and the team has achieved national recognition for the quality of its work.

The firm is keen to hear from a construction solicitor with anything from between 2 to 6 years' PQE who has experience of dealing with contentious matters. You will be exposed to a varied caseload of challenging, technically complex and high-quality matters to include issues of overruns, defects and delays, termination of building contracts, defective completions and PFI/PPP disputes among a host other issues.

This firm is different as it is truly a meritocratic organisation and is in a very strong financial position. The practice can offer long term security and will offer exposure to high calibre work. Crucially, the culture at this firm is second to none; there is no "clocking in and out" and the practice is the very epitome of a one that promotes collaboration, cross-referrals of clients and expertise, supportiveness and a general all-round sense of collective achievement.

You will receive a very competitive remuneration and benefits package and will also be able to take advantage of a lucrative bonus scheme whilst working in a relaxed environment with very little in the way of KPIs and targets meaning that you can focus solely on your professional development and expedite the enhancement of your technical skills whilst working alongside notable experts in the sector.
