Intellectual Property Lawyer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Intellectual Property Lawyer to join a prestigious institution based in the East Midlands.

The position will be for 3 – 6 months; however there is scope for it to continue dependent on the workload and needs of the organisation.

It is essential for this role that you have experience of and are familiar with Intellectual Property management and legal contracts. The successful candidate will be required to provide commercial legal advice.

• Drafting CDAs, MTA, Option Licences, Spin Out Documentation, Shareholder Agreements, Heads of Terms
• Managing the IP Commercialisation process
• Managing the patent portfolio
• Handling contentious Intellectual Property related issues in research contracts sponsored by external industries

The position would be suited to a qualified lawyer who holds experience in academia, industry or private practice. However, applications are also welcomed from those who are unqualified or have only experience in Local Government, in line with this the rate offered would be lower.

The position offers a rate of £30-35 per hour dependant on experience.
