Family Solicitor Full time or Part Time: Harrogate

Our client is a strong regional firm and they have a vacancy in the Harrogate office for a Family Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive with experience in private family matters.

This person would be expected to take principal responsibility for their own caseload working with the strongly ranked Family team. The position is to cover maternity leave with the successful candidate starting January 2018. The contract will be for a minimum term of 9 months.

This position is open to candidates with a minimum of 3 years PQE and good experience in all private family matters. The successful candidate should show excellent technical ability and experience of handling a broad range of family cases, including medium/high net worth. Also being a trained Family Mediator is highly desirable for this role, to work alongside the firm mediator in this growing area of family work.

Areas of work will include;

• Divorce and Financial Matters, including cases with international elements and complex assets
• Conducting own advocacy where appropriate
• Dealing with all aspects of Private Children Law
• Cohabitation Disputes alongside the Civil Ligation team
• Cohabitation Agreements
• Pre-Nuptial/Post Nuptial Agreements
• Family mediation*
