Private Client Solicitor/Head of Department - Legal 500 - Central London
 
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior solicitor to join and head up the private client team at the central London office of a growing Legal 500 firm.
 
The firm has been running for almost 90 years and are extremely well regarded, ranking highly for several different practice areas. The firm has a number of offices, but this role will be within their branch based just outside the City of London.
 
Due to the retirement of one of the senior members of the team, the firm are looking for a Senior Private Client solicitor to join and head the department. You will be dealing with an existing and varied caseload, covering: wills, probate, LPA's and court of protection matters; as well as contributing to the ongoing development of the department. There is support in place and excellent development prospects, with the department expected to grow within a short period of time.
 
To be successful in your application you will possess the following attributes:

• 5 years' PQE+
• Extensive experience of private client law including: wills, probate, trusts, estate planning, LPA's and Court of Protection
• Current member of STEP or already working towards the accreditation
• Self-driven, capable of marketing yourself and generating new business
• Have previously worked in a leadership position or with the potential to move in to a management role
